If you've never tried a fresh fig, you don't know what you are missing! Figs are best enjoyed just a few days after picking as they are delicate fruits.
We don't know what variety this fig is, the fruits are ripe when they turn a slightly yellow/green color. These are large figs and the flavor isn't as strong as the brown/black figs. These are good for fresh eating, cooking, or preserves.
These figs come from a tree we planted 16 years ago in nearby Forney, TX (at grandma's house). We typically harvest on Wednesday morning, so these are best purchased for Wednesday or Saturday pickup.
