Getting started is simple
How Reserving a Pig Works.
Reserve
Place a deposit to secure your whole or half pig for the season.
Fill Out a Cut Sheet
Tell the butcher exactly what you want: chop thickness, ribs, roasts, ground pork, and more.
Pay Us
Pay the grower's fee based on hanging weight. Ownership of your portion transfers to you.
Pick Up at the Butcher
The butcher calls when it's ready. Pick up your pork there and pay their processing fees.
Smoked and cured items, like bacon or hams, cost a bit extra through the butcher. A filled-out cut sheet example is available on request. Limited pickup at the farm may be available. Ask when you reserve.
A reasonable summary
What You Get From a Whole Pig
Based on a 235 lb hanging weight, expect roughly 175 lbs of take-home meat and 7–9 cu. ft. of freezer space. A half pig is half of the above. Want more sausage? Choose to have any cut ground instead.
